The project
Food context without a venue ranking.
Common Table Egypt helps an English-speaking reader notice how an everyday meal is built and communicate more clearly when ordering it.
What the first edition covers
Four essays follow baladi bread, ful and taameya, koshari and Alexandria fish ordering. Two practical guides cover dietary communication and café rhythm. The selection is intentionally incomplete: it demonstrates a method rather than claiming to catalogue Egyptian cuisine.
What the project does not do
The site does not recommend restaurants, accept reservations, sell tours, process delivery orders or publish paid placements. It is not affiliated with a government, food-safety authority, restaurant or tourism company. No physical address, phone number or named team is invented because none was supplied.
How to use it
Choose one table note, observe the separate components, and use the questions rather than memorising a claim of authenticity. For dietary needs, follow the ordering guide and obtain personalised medical advice where required.
